Cloud Servers & Co-location
SoftSol operates its own enterprise-grade hosted VPS infrastructure — not a reseller of public cloud. Your virtual machines run on hardware we own and manage, with a 10 Gbit/s backbone, 96 TB of storage, and full visibility via our monitoring platforms. We also offer co-location for organisations that prefer to house their own hardware in our facility.
Hosted Cloud Servers (VPS)
Virtual machines running on SoftSol-owned hardware — managed, monitored, and maintained by us.
Windows & Linux VMs
Provision Windows Server or any major Linux distribution to your exact specification — OS, roles, and applications configured from day one.
Flexible Resources
Choose any number of vCPUs, RAM, and storage. Resources can be scaled up or down as your workload changes, with no lengthy provisioning delays.
Built-in Monitoring & Analytics
Every hosted VM is monitored for CPU, memory, disk, and network. Real-time dashboards and alerts keep SoftSol ahead of performance issues.
Rapid Deployment
New virtual machines are deployed within hours, not days. Templates and automation accelerate standard workloads like file servers, databases, and web servers.
Ongoing Patching & Optimisation
SoftSol manages OS patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning for all hosted VMs as part of the service.
Backup Included
Hosted VMs are covered by SoftSol’s 3-2-1 backup strategy — image-level backups with tested recovery procedures.
Co-location
House your own hardware in SoftSol’s facility — with our power, cooling, connectivity, and physical security. You own and control your equipment; we provide the infrastructure around it.
Co-location is ideal for organisations that have invested in their own servers or networking equipment but want to move it off-site into a professionally managed environment — avoiding the cost of building and maintaining their own data room.
Co-location options
Full Rack
42U dedicated cabinet
A full standard 42U rack cabinet reserved exclusively for your equipment. Suitable for organisations with large hardware footprints, high-density servers, or specific compliance requirements around physical isolation.
- •Dedicated locked cabinet
- •Dedicated power circuit
- •Full bandwidth allocation
- •Remote hands support available
Half Rack
21U dedicated space
A half-rack allocation within a cabinet. Ideal for mid-sized deployments where a full rack would be more than required. Your space is clearly partitioned and locked separately from other tenants.
- •Partitioned locked space
- •Shared cabinet, isolated section
- •Proportional power allocation
- •Remote hands support available
Per-U (Shared Rack)
Individual rack units
Pay only for the rack units you use, housed within a shared cabinet. The most cost-effective entry point for organisations with just one or two physical servers that need professional co-location without committing to a larger allocation.
- •Billed per rack unit occupied
- •Shared cabinet with other clients
- •Shared power & connectivity
- •Ideal for 1–4U deployments
All co-location engagements include: 24/7 physical security, UPS-backed power, structured cabling, and connectivity via SoftSol’s 10 Gbit/s uplink. Remote hands (physical intervention on your equipment by SoftSol staff) is available on request. A signed co-location agreement covering SLAs, access rights, and liability is provided for every engagement.
Infrastructure highlights
- •Nephos firewall — perimeter security and traffic control for all hosted environments.
- •Varyta 10 Gbit/s switch — high-speed internal switching ensures low-latency communication between VMs and storage.
- •XCP-NG hypervisor pool — Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn form a redundant host cluster with live migration capability.
- •Pluto — 96 TB DAS storage — dedicated storage node providing fast, large-capacity block and file storage to the VM pool.
Security
- •VLAN isolation per client — each client’s VMs operate on dedicated network segments, preventing lateral movement between tenants.
- •Encrypted connections — all remote access to hosted VMs uses encrypted tunnels. Management interfaces are not exposed to the public internet.
- •Access logging — administrative access to infrastructure is logged and auditable.
